Comment from the depositor			NP-2 is derived from a human glioma cell line. NP-2/CD4/EcoVR/APJ (NP-2/CD4/APJ) cells are transduced with human CD4, ecotropic mouse retrovirus receptor and human APJ genes and expressing cells were cloned. Although NP-2/CD4/EcoVR cell is resistant to HIVs, NP-2/CD4/EcoVR/APJ cells become highly susceptible to HIVs that use APJ as a coreceptor.
