Comment
Comment from the depositorIn 1987, D.Loo et al at D.Barnes lab established a pre-glial cell line SFME from Balb/c mouse embryo in serum free condition. C.Rawson et al established a tumorigenic but non-metastatic transformed cell line, ras/mycSFME, by introducing active human cH-ras and mouse c-myc into SFME cells in 1992. T.Nomura et al introduced pSV2neo into ras/mycSFME cells and discovered metastatic cells in syngeneic host lungs. Obtained mtastatic cells no longer showed neomycin resistancy. The r/mHM-SFME-1 cell line, an experimental tumor cell line carrying metastatic ability in immuno-competent Balb/c mouse, was established from the mtastasized lung in 1993 by cloning from soft agar colony,.
