RCB4591 : Siglec-14/THP-1  update : 2024/02/21
Comment
Comment from the depositorThe cell line was generated by retroviral transduction of human Siglec-14 cDNA into the THP-1 cell line (JCRB0112). Basic properties are similar to those of THP-1.
Terms and conditions1) There is no restriction regarding use for basic researches. In relation to commercial use and use for patent filing, first of all please contact the AIST. 2) In publishing the research results obtained by use of the BIOLOGICAL RESOURCE, a citation of the following literature (Glycobiology 2009 19(8):841-6) designated by the DEPOSITOR is requested. 3) In publishing the research results to be obtained by use of the BIOLOGICAL RESOURCE, an acknowledgment to the DEPOSITOR is requested.

Basic information Depositor ANGATA, Takashi
Originator ANGATA, Takashi
Year of deposit 2013
Original cell THP-1 (JCRB0112)
Animal _human < Mammals
Genus Homo
Species sapiens
Race Japanese
Gender Male
Tissue peripheral blood
Disease name acute monocytic leukemia
Classification cancer
Recombinant recombinant
Exogene Siglec-14cDNA
1200 base
Vector pMSCV-IRES-EGFP
Recombinant virus No
Lifespan infinite
Morphology lymphocyte-like
Differentiation The cell line can be differentiated to macrophage-like cells by TPA (12-O-Tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate; i.e., phorbol acetate). (Siglec-14/THP-1 maintains the properties of the parental cell line THP-1, which can be differentiated to macrophage-like cells by TPA.)
Surface antigen (depositor) Constitutively express human Siglec-14, a glycan-recognition protein.
