細胞特性(日)大理石骨病を発症するop/opマウス由来で、M-CSF遺伝子に突然変異を持つ。脂肪細胞に分化し、造血幹細胞の増殖、ES細胞から血球系、リンパ球系への細胞分化を支持する機能を持っている。
